I love blogfests! I really, really do. What better way to test your skills than to write a scene specifically for a fest? They’re awesome, they’re fun, they’re BLOGFEST, baby! My critique group feels the exact same way, so we’ve decided to host the Flirt Fest Blogfest on May 16th. Run on over to CritiqueThisWIP and sign your blog address to the sign up list.

Explain to me, how do these blogfests work exactly? Perhaps I will dabble in a couple...
ReplyDeleteBlogfests are easy as pie! Pick one you like—there are SEVERAL coming up—then go to the host’s blog and add your name and blog address to the sign up sheet. Then write a scene based on the criteria. My group is doing a Flirt Fest, so you’d post a scene involving people flirting. You post the scene to your blog on the date of the fest (ours is May 16th) then go back to the host’s website to read some of the other participants stuff on the Fest’s date. Just look on the signup sheet and click their name to be directed to the different entries. It’s way fun! You should do it!
ReplyDeleteThe body language fest is coming up on the 24th, but I have NO IDEA if I’m going to do that one of not. I’m having a hard time figuring out a scene idea.
